◆Hiroshima – Food & Nightlife
For nightlife in Hiroshima, start in Hiroshima City's bustling entertainment districts. The largest is Nagarekawa, packed with izakayas, bars, and clubs where the lively atmosphere makes it perfect for bar hopping. Right next door, Yagenbori offers a deeper, retro drinking scene, filled with red lantern-lit taverns and old-style snack bars where you can experience the warmth of local hospitality. For a younger vibe, Shintenchi is the go-to spot, with casual izakayas and standing bars ideal for a relaxed night out.
Outside Hiroshima City, Onomichi's Hon-dori Shopping Street is a popular choice. Here, renovated traditional houses host izakayas and bars, blending with the retro streetscape where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local sake. In Kure's Naka-dori, izakayas specializing in fish dishes line the streets, creating a lively port-town atmosphere. Around Fukuyama Station, the nightlife is convenient and accessible, with taverns serving kushiyaki skewers, teppan dishes, and regional sake.
Some places may not speak English, but with a local guide you can relax and enjoy. We will also check if bar hopping is possible in your preferred area, so please feel free to book.
