Sendai's Kokubuncho is the largest nightlife district in Tohoku, with thousands of izakayas and bars. Local favorites include gyutan (beef tongue) and sasa-kamaboko (fish cakes), enjoyed with sake or craft beer. Around the station, casual pubs welcome travelers for easy bar hopping.
On the Sanriku coast, cities like Ishinomaki and Kesennuma feature seafood-focused izakayas, while Shiogama is known for sushi paired with excellent sake. Even in tourist spots like Matsushima and Naruko Onsen, small pubs provide cozy drinking opportunities.
Some places may not speak English, but with a local guide you can relax and enjoy. In certain areas, bars may be limited, so we will check if bar hopping is possible. Please feel free to book.
