◆Nagano – Food & Nightlife

In Nagano City, the Gondo district is a retro-style entertainment area filled with izakayas and snack bars. Popular pairings include local sake with Shinshu soba, horse sashimi, and mountain vegetable dishes. Around Zenkoji Temple, several cozy izakayas cater to visitors, offering drinks in a historic setting.

In Matsumoto, nightlife spreads from the station to Nawate-dori, with izakayas and wine bars reflecting the castle town's charm. Suwa is famous for its many sake breweries, making it a must-visit for sake enthusiasts. Even in tourist areas like Kiso and Hakuba, small pubs offer hearty local fare with regional drinks.
