This renewal transforms the former "OSHI BASE Harajuku" location into an immersive Tamagotchi experience. The store will be operated by BookLive Inc., a group company of TOPPAN Holdings, under the supervision and cooperation of Bandai Co., Ltd.
The store concept centers on "experience," offering customers more than just shopping. Visitors can customize products themselves, while the factory-themed interior and uniformed staff create an immersive Tamagotchi Factory atmosphere.
Tamagotchi, which launched in 1996 as a "digital portable pet," became a cultural phenomenon. With cumulative worldwide shipments exceeding 100 million units as of July 31, 2025, the beloved franchise continues to attract fans across generations—from original fans to those discovering Tamagotchi through the latest "Tamagotchi Paradise" device released in July 2025.
