Summary

This time, my friend and I visited Shinagawa for exploring its unique charm!

Shinagawa is a bustling transportation hub with easy access to major train lines and the Shinkansen. This was our first time hanging out in Shinagawa, as we usually only come here for transferring to the Shinkansen.

Shinagawa offers a blend of business and leisure, with attractions. Please take a look at our Shinagawa trip✨

Travel Itinerary

12:10pm Yatsuyama Bridge (八ツ山橋)

The first place we headed for was Yatsuyama Bridge, just a short walk from Kita-Shinagawa Station. If you think it is just a bridge, it is not!

This is the first bridge in Japan to straddle railroads, spanning the tracks of the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen, JR Yamanote, Keihin Tohoku, Tokaido, and Yokosuka lines! Furthermore, the Keikyu line runs on the bridge in front of you. This is a spot not to be missed, especially if you are a railway fans.
