Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in Iidabashi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is hosting the 22nd "Edmont Summer Festival 2026" on July 28, 2026 (Tuesday). The entire second-floor banquet hall of the main building will serve as the festival venue.
First held in 2000 as a community engagement event, this year's edition marks the 22nd time the festival has taken place. Guests can enjoy traditional Bon Odori dancing around a specially constructed festival stage to the sound of taiko drums. For those new to Bon Odori, a lesson session led by a Japanese folk dance instructor will be available beforehand.
The evening's entertainment also includes a live Tsugaru shamisen performance by the Kitamura Sisters and an illusion magic show by performer Tomuyamu-kun. In addition to the stage program, the venue features nostalgic carnival-style booths, street food counters, a Fukushima Aizu regional products corner, and a lottery offering prizes such as hotel stay vouchers and restaurant certificates.
Since the entire event takes place indoors, guests can enjoy a traditional Japanese summer atmosphere without any concern about the weather.
