Kyoto Ghost Tour: Bamboo Forest Nights

This is a unique experience unlike ghost tours in other countries. We’ll meet, grab a drink, and then dive into Kyoto’s dark history. As we walk, you’ll hear unsettling urban legends, stories of tragic events, and chilling tales of real-life figures—including serial killers—all connected to the area. This tour does not focus on yōkai or traditional ghost stories.
Expect to walk extensively through atmospheric spots, listening to spine-tingling stories that bring the area’s hidden past to life. In certain parts, you’ll be asked to walk alone in the dark—be prepared, as this isn’t a joke but an immersive part of the experience.

・Saga-Arashiyama Station (15 min)
Meet at Saga-Arashiyama Station, grab drinks at a convenience store, and head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. At night, the forest is pitch dark, creating a unique and thrilling experience.
・Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (45 min)
We are embarking on an adventure to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest at nightfall. As the veil of darkness unfurls over the forest, the area will be enveloped in an intense pitch-black, transforming it into an enigmatic world of towering, whispering bamboo stalks. Brace yourself for an exhilarating experience, as the eeriness of the darkness could send delightful shivers down your spine.
・Pass By Saga-Arashiyama Station
We’ll return to Saga-Arashiyama Station, reflecting on our nighttime adventure through bamboo groves, the Moon Crossing Bridge, and the illuminated Kimono Forest. Thank you for joining this unique Arashiyama night tour.
