With over 70 years of history, the Kochi Yosakoi Festival is one of Japan's most exciting summer festivals. Approximately 200 teams and 18,000 dancers move in synchronized formations, accompanied by jikata-sha trucks blasting everything from traditional Japanese melodies to modern rock and samba arrangements. With a reserved seat, you can relax and fully enjoy the spectacular atmosphere—no need to worry about crowds or long hours of standing.
Born in 1954 to lift the spirits of postwar Kochi, the festival has grown into a celebration of creativity and community, where every team brings its own choreography, costumes, and music to the streets of Tosa—capturing the warm, welcoming spirit of the people of Kochi.

## **Regarding Seat Types**
- The ticket type is General A Seat, Evening Performance.
- General seats are bench-style with approximately 60 cm of width per person.
- A seats are located in the central area where the festival's energy and excitement reach their peak.
## **Regarding Ticket Delivery**
- Tickets will be mailed to the hotel where you are staying. Please provide the following information when booking: hotel name, hotel address, name under which the hotel reservation was made, check-in date, and hotel reservation number.
- Please confirm in advance with your hotel whether they are able to receive registered mail (Kan'i-Kakitome).
- Changes to the delivery hotel can be accepted until July 25. Changes after this date cannot be accommodated.
## **How to use**
- Please present your paper ticket to the attendant at the entrance gate.
- Once you enter the venue, please be seated in the seat indicated on your ticket.

## **Cancellation Policy**

- Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except in the event that the performance is canceled due to heavy rain or other unforeseen circumstances.
## **Notes for the day**
- The event will proceed in case of light rain, but please note that the bleacher seating is not roofed. If the weather is poor, we kindly ask that you bring your own rain gear, such as a poncho. (Please refrain from using umbrellas during the performance to avoid blocking the view of others.)
- Temperatures are expected to be very high during the day. Please take proper precautions to prevent heatstroke.
- Prohibited Items: Use of drones, smoking within the venue, bringing pets, and any actions that cause a nuisance to other guests (such as the use of selfie sticks, setting up tripods for photography, or filming in walkways).
