In Kochi City, the Obiyamachi and Harimayabashi areas are the prefecture's largest nightlife hubs, where katsuo tataki (seared bonito) and sawachi ryori (large shared platters) pair perfectly with sake and shochu. Hirome Market is especially popular with visitors, offering a casual food-court style setting for easy bar hopping.
In regional towns like Nakamura (Shimanto City) and Aki, local taverns provide a warm, down-to-earth atmosphere. In port towns such as Susaki and Tosashimizu, fresh seafood and Kochi's lively drinking culture create unforgettable nights.
