2k540 Fanfare -made in Koukashita- 2026 runs from May 22 to 24, 2026 at 2k540 AKI-OKA ARTISAN, the craftsmanship-focused commercial complex nestled under the elevated JR Yamanote Line tracks between Akihabara and Okachimachi stations. Over three days, visitors can enjoy hands-on workshops, a product idea contest, a stamp rally, and a special flea market.
The event also coincides with Monomachi 2026, a wider craftsmanship town event covering the southern Taito Ward area, making the whole neighborhood a destination for those interested in Japanese making culture.

1. 2k540 Product Idea Contest 2026
Now in its fifth year, this participatory idea contest invites visitors to dream up product concepts inspired by the shops and materials found inside 2k540. For 2026, entries are open to all shops in the complex in celebration of the facility's 15th anniversary — no brand limit this time. Entry is free.
Theme: "15 & Strawberry," inspired by the 15th anniversary milestone
Participants pick up an "Idea Sheet" at the dedicated booth during the festival, fill in their concept, and drop it in the submission box. The best entries will be evaluated by 2k540 shops, and winning ideas will be developed into real products by professional craftspeople. Finished products may go on sale in stores.

2. 2k540 Quiz & Stamp Map 2026
The fan-favorite stamp rally returns with a 2026 update. Collect stamps from shops around 2k540 to assemble an original map of the complex. Along the way, take on the 15th Anniversary Quiz — complete the keyword to claim an exclusive 2k540 original gift (while supplies last).
3. Offcuts Decoration Workshop
Using leftover materials and supplies donated by 2k540 shops, visitors can craft their own decorative pieces in this upcycling workshop. It's a chance to work with real artisan offcuts and create something uniquely personal.
4. Flea Market by 2k540 Shops
Tools, sample products, and materials from the studios of 2k540 creators go on sale in a one-day flea market format. Rare finds not available through regular shop channels make this a worthwhile stop for anyone curious about the craft process behind the products.
5. Individual Shop Workshops & Events
Each shop runs its own program during the festival — past examples have included mini wallet making, treasure hunts, and tenugui (hand towel) drawing workshops. Check individual shop social media accounts or websites for the latest schedules.
Collaboration: Monomachi × 2k540 × LUUP
During the festival, 2k540 joins forces with Monomachi 2026 and LUUP — an electric kickboard and bicycle-sharing service — to help visitors move around the area more easily. Temporary LUUP ports will be set up in the Monomachi neighborhood, and a discount coupon is available for first-time LUUP users.

15th Anniversary Celebrations
2026 marks 15 years since 2k540 AKI-OKA ARTISAN opened its doors. Throughout this anniversary year, a special 15th Anniversary logo appears across events and campaigns at the complex. From May 22 through June 30, every customer who makes a purchase at any 2k540 shop will receive a commemorative 15th anniversary card as a token of appreciation — while supplies last.
