Highmount Co., Ltd., the official Japan distributor of Hong Kong-based backpack brand "ABLE CARRY," announces the addition of a new material variant of the popular Max EDC backpack, available exclusively in Japan ahead of global release, along with the brand's first-ever Daily Sling. Both products launch on January 28, 2026.
Japan-Exclusive New Material for Max EDC
Since its 2025 launch, the Max EDC has gained significant popularity alongside the brand's signature "Daily Plus" model. The Max EDC optimizes the maximum capacity "Max Series" into a practical 26L size suitable for daily use, accommodating everything from commuting to travel. True to its "Every Day Carry" concept, it has expanded its fanbase as a versatile backpack for active lifestyles.
This new model marks a special milestone as it will debut first in Japan's retail market ahead of worldwide release. The new material provides a fresh aesthetic and enhanced usability, further elevating the Max EDC's appeal.
Cordura re/cor Ballistic 1680D Black
This heavy-duty material features the "highest class of durability" among CORDURA® brand fabrics. It offers exceptional resistance to impact and abrasion with military-grade toughness, while its "glossy black finish" creates a refined, premium appearance.
The main compartment features multiple pockets with a wide-opening design. It's structured to work seamlessly with bag organizers like Cube or the new Core Sling as bag-in-bag solutions.
The front compartment features wide zippers that open fully, with internal pockets for organization. It provides ample storage capacity and expandability to handle daily carry as well as unexpectedly increased loads.
The laptop compartment accommodates up to 17-inch notebooks with protective padding and consolidates tech tools in one place. Stretch material pockets provide expandability for bulky chargers and larger items.

ABLE CARRY's First Daily Sling: Core Sling
Launching January 28, 2026, the "Core Sling" series represents a new form of carry, designed for easy organization, comfort, and durability. This compact body bag is ideal for weekends and travel, allowing you to carry essentials in minimal space.
Accordion Flex
Known as "A-Flex," this proprietary structure allows the bag to naturally expand and contract up to double its size. It adapts to changing cargo volumes while maintaining an elegant form.
Core Sling Storage
The Core Sling comprises four compartments: main compartment, external pocket, front compartment, and back pocket. The Core Sling Mini features a minimalist design with only the main compartment and external pocket. Both versions include purpose-specific internal pockets for organized storage of small items.
The ultra-stretch pocket, made from lightweight mesh material with excellent tear resistance, abrasion resistance, and water resistance, offers flexible expandability while securely holding items.
The Core Sling features four loops for attaching the shoulder belt hook. The 360-degree rotating hook can be positioned to find the most comfortable fit for your body.
