From March 19 (Thursday) to March 22 (Sunday), 2026, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will host Akarenga de Wan Sanpo, a four-day dog event at the Event Square and Aka-Renga Park.
This event welcomes not only guests with dogs but also those who simply love dogs, making it an enjoyable experience for all dog enthusiasts. First held in 2021, this marks the fifth anniversary of the event.
This year features popular returning attractions including a Dog Market with around 100 shops selling dog goods and food from kitchen cars, a Special Dog Run with stunning ocean views where dogs can run freely, and a Dog Cafe where visitors can relax with their dogs, featuring collaborative design by picture book author Tomonori Taniguchi, who created the event's key visual.
In addition, some restaurants on the third floor of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Building No. 2 will open limited pet-friendly areas for the first time, and there will be collaboration content with the TV anime Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! scheduled to be animated in 2026. This lineup offers fresh experiences even for dog lovers who have visited Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse before.

Three Special Dog Runs by the Sea for Different Dog Sizes
At the dog run, dogs can run freely off-leash in a stunning location overlooking the sea. Three areas are provided according to body size - small, medium, and large dogs - so dogs of any size can play safely.

Dog Cafe "BULLDOG CAFE" - Collaboration with Picture Book Author Tomonori Taniguchi
The dog cafe "BULLDOG CAFE" features terrace and sofa seating where visitors can relax with their dogs. The cafe is inspired by picture book author Tomonori Taniguchi's book "Bulldog Detective and the Missing Star," who also created this event's key visual. Relax to your heart's content with your dog.
Picture Book Author Tomonori Taniguchi Profile
Born in 1978. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art, Japanese Painting major. Made his debut as a picture book author in 2004 with "Mr. Monkey and the Moon." Published numerous picture books including "CACHE CACHE" in France. Subsequently published many picture books internationally including Italy, Taiwan, China, and Cambodia, and is active worldwide. Beyond picture books, he is active in various fields including advertising, package design, and commercial facility space production. Major picture books include "100 Santa Clauses" and "Mr. Monkey and Banana's Amusement Park." Won the 9th Yochien Picture Book Award for "The Hungry Whale" and the 12th for "Chameleon's Shaved Ice Shop."
Limited-Time First Opening Areas! Pet-Friendly Spots in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Buildings 1 & 2
Some areas of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Buildings 1 and 2 have always allowed pets, making it a dog-friendly spot. This year, the balcony seating at Restaurant "Re:Wharf" on the third floor of Building No. 2 has newly become a pet-friendly area. During this event, the balcony seating at restaurants "chano-ma" and "BUTCHER REPUBLIC CHICAGO PIZZA&BEER" on the third floor of Building No. 2 will also be specially opened as pet-friendly areas for the first time for a limited time.
Additionally, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Building No. 2 will offer free rental of PETiCO suitcase-type pet carriers during the event period. If you use a pet carrier (including your own) that completely covers your dog, entry into the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse building is possible. This special period makes dining with your dog easier than usual, allowing you to enjoy refreshing moments unique to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse overlooking Minato Mirai and the sea.
Furthermore, when you present the wristband received at the special dog run reception at eligible stores (10 stores) in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Buildings 1 and 2, you can receive special services. Shops inside the building also carry fashionable dog goods perfect for everyday use, so please stop by.

TV Anime "Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!" × Akarenga de Wan Sanpo Collaboration
In collaboration with the TV anime "Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!," a spinoff of the action battle series "Bungo Stray Dogs" featuring characters named after real-life literary figures like Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa, photo spots featuring characters from the work and original merchandise sales will be available.

TV Anime "Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!"
In the fictional city of "Yokohama," where the bustle of a modern city meets the breeze of foreign influence, those who bear the names of literary figures of old unfold deadly battles using "supernatural abilities" named after them - the action battle masterpiece "Bungo Stray Dogs."
Those characters from the "Armed Detective Agency" and "Port Mafia" who cry out, wear down their souls, and race through the extremes of life and death - will incredibly appear in adorable miniature forms, trading jokes and running wild!? A delightful variety show of wandering dogs barking "wan!" in daily life - "Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!2" is scheduled for anime adaptation in 2026.
