Assassination Classroom the Movie: Our Time is coming exclusively to Prime Video starting Friday, August 7, 2026. The film is based on Yusei Matsui's hugely popular manga Assassination Classroom, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2012 to 2016 and now with more than 27 million copies in circulation. This latest theatrical entry brings to life original manga episodes that have never before been animated. Fittingly, the announcement lands on July 2 — the very date the manga began its serialization back in 2012.
The film is included with an Amazon Prime membership as one of the titles available through Prime Video.
Third Chapter of the 10th Anniversary Project
Our Time is released as the third installment of the "Anime 'Assassination Classroom' 10th Anniversary Project," marking ten years since both the original manga and the TV anime series concluded. With 15 days left until the assassination deadline and graduation drawing near, the students of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's Class 3-E look back on the eventful days spent in their classroom with their homeroom teacher — and assassination target — the mysterious super-creature known as Koro-sensei.
The familiar cast returns, including Jun Fukuyama in the role of Koro-sensei. Masaki Kitamura, who directed After-School Hanako-kun, takes on his first theatrical anime directing role for this film, while Makoto Uezu, who handled series composition and screenplay for the Assassination Classroom TV anime, once again wrote the screenplay.

Alongside the new film's release, the full run of the Assassination Classroom TV anime, the compilation film Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days' Time (『劇場版「暗殺教室」365日の時間』), and the live-action films Assassination Classroom (『映画 暗殺教室』) and Assassination Classroom: Graduation (『映画 暗殺教室‐卒業編‐』) will all be available to stream on Prime Video. In addition, the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Matsui's popular historical series The Elusive Samurai (逃げ上手の若君) begins airing in July and will also stream on Prime Video, making it possible to revisit the entire Assassination Classroom story and catch up on Matsui's newest work before the film's release.

Synopsis
A mysterious super-creature known as Koro-sensei has declared that it will destroy the moon — and the Earth next.
The task of assassinating it falls to the underachievers of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's Class 3-E, nicknamed "the end-of-the-line Class E."
Somehow becoming Class E's homeroom teacher, Koro-sensei guides the students with unconventional teaching methods, and by now, with graduation drawing near, far fewer people look down on the class.
There's just one thing left for them to do: assassinate Koro-sensei.
Only 15 days remain until the deadline.
In their classroom, the students of Class E and Koro-sensei look back together on the past year.
Art, swimming, extracurricular activities that made use of their assassination skills, Valentine's Day romances, and their teacher's secret after-hours pursuits — each memory fills the classroom to overflowing.
Episodes never shown in the TV series are brought to the screen for the first time, fully animated to mark the 10th anniversary.
Now grown, the students look back once more on their year in Assassination Classroom.
