U-NEXT will exclusively live-stream the Nissan Stadium performance from back number's ongoing stadium tour Grateful Yesterdays Tour 2026 on Saturday, October 3. The stream is included for monthly members at no extra charge.
Formed in 2004 and making their major-label debut in 2011, back number has built a broad following across generations on the strength of the quality of their songs and their expressive performances. Their popularity shows in an unprecedented feat on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking: they became the first artist ever to spend 400 consecutive weeks in the Top 100. Starting in May 2026, they set out on Grateful Yesterdays Tour 2026, their biggest tour yet and their first stadium tour, playing 9 shows across 5 locations nationwide. The tour drew 500,000 attendees, with every show selling out the same day, making it a major topic of conversation. As additional shows, they are currently on their first Asia tour, playing three cities: Taipei, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
U-NEXT has now confirmed it will exclusively live-stream the Nissan Stadium performance held in Kanagawa this past June, airing Saturday, October 3. This marks U-NEXT's second exclusive live stream of a back number concert, following anti sleeps tour 2024 in 2024. The stream also introduces a multi-channel system: alongside CH1 "LIVE," which delivers the immersive feel of being at the venue, viewers can choose CH2 "LIVE with LYRICS," which displays the lyrics on-screen alongside the live footage for a deeper look at the words behind each song. From their best-known songs to their newest tracks, the stream traces back number's journey in high-quality video and audio unique to U-NEXT. A catch-up stream is planned after the live broadcast ends, so it can be watched repeatedly through the end of the streaming period.
U-NEXT is also streaming five past live-concert titles, including anti sleeps tour 2024, so viewers can watch them before or after the live stream.
