About Blue Lock
Blue Lock is a popular manga series serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, created by writer Muneyuki Kaneshiro and artist Yusuke Nomura.
With over 50 million copies in circulation worldwide, the series has won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shonen category. The "Blue Lock" project invites 300 high school students, including protagonist Isagi Yoichi, to compete in an intense survival program designed to create the world's greatest striker who will lead Japan to World Cup victory. This soccer manga depicts players who sometimes eliminate others and sometimes evolve themselves to overcome harsh challenges.
The series continues to gain momentum with a new TV anime series in production and a live-action film scheduled for release in summer 2026.
