A new limited model joins OCEANUS, Casio's analog radio-controlled solar watch series. The OCW-SG1000MC features a newly developed marble ceramic bezel that expresses the powerful swells of the open sea, and it goes on sale on November 13.

Marble Ceramic Bezel
The OCW-SG1000MC is a limited watch whose bezel is inspired by powerful, ever-changing ocean currents. Mixing two ceramics, one black and one white, creates a marble pattern that evokes a rough seascape, with currents colliding and whitecaps sending up spray. Where the two ceramics blend, blue-green hues shine through, creating an ocean world true to OCEANUS. The coloring of the marble ceramic bezel differs from piece to piece, so no two watches look exactly alike.

The bezel has 24 facets cut into a three-dimensional polygonal shape, and its top surface is finished with a curved cut. This brings out the ceramic's smooth texture and glossy luster, and its high scratch resistance helps the watch keep its good looks for a long time.
Black Ceramic Dial and Gallium Tough Solar
The dial is made of black ceramic, giving it a glossy, jet-black look with no distortion. In contrast to the bezel's bold swells, it depicts the stillness and calm of the sea.

The watch is also equipped with Gallium Tough Solar, a highly efficient solar power system developed by applying technology from the space industry. Because it can generate power from only the light that passes through the slight gaps in the date wheel, it allows for greater freedom in dial design.

The caseback is engraved with a swirling pattern that expresses the dynamism of ocean currents, carrying the scenery woven by the sea down to the finest details.
