About Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc
The manga Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto — also known for the 2024 theatrical anime Look Back, which won the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year at the 48th ceremony — has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation and continues serialization in Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha). A TV anime adaptation produced by MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan The Final Season, etc.) aired in 2022 to critical acclaim both domestically and internationally, and is currently distributed in over 200 countries and regions.
The film brings the highly popular "Reze Arc" episode to the big screen for the first time. The story follows protagonist Denji as he encounters a mysterious girl named Reze, getting swept up in an unpredictable fate alongside high-speed battle action on a larger scale. Kenshi Yonezu, who composed the globally popular TV anime opening theme "KICK BACK," has returned to write "IRIS OUT," a new track created specifically for the Reze Arc film.
