Hair styling brand COHARU is adding a new heat-protecting spray to its lineup. From September 4, 2026 (Friday), the COHARU Lock Oil Spray <Heat Care & Gloss> is rolling out to mass retailers, drugstores, and other stores nationwide.
Aimed at people who regularly use hair irons, the spray protects hair from heat damage while helping a styled look hold in place without stiffening it.

Why It Was Developed
A survey of 400 women in their 20s found that 76% own a hair iron, making it an essential part of their styling routine. A related survey of people who own a hair iron looked at what they want most from a product used before styling: protection from heat damage (45.7%) came out on top, followed by the ability to hold a style without stiffening hair (23.4%) and resistance to humidity (20.1%).
With those results in mind, the COHARU Lock Oil Spray <Heat Care & Gloss> was created to go beyond simple heat protection, also focusing on style hold, humidity resistance, and shine to meet the needs of hair iron users.
