Nijigen no Mori's Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park to Renew in Spring 2027 with New 11-Meter Athletic Course

Nijigen no Mori, the anime park on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, is renewing the Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park attraction area inside the park, with the reopening set for spring 2027.

The renewal comes as the attraction area approaches its 10th year since opening in July 2017. Drawing on themes from multiple entries in the "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie" series, the current 8-meter wooden athletic course will be rebuilt into an 11-meter steel-frame course, reopening under the new name "Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park: Whirlwind! Cinema Athletic Grand Mission (tentative name)."

Ahead of the renewal work, the "Appare! Sengoku Grand Adventure" athletic course and the "Action Kamen Flight Squadron" zip line will be closed from October 13, 2026 through spring 2027.

The current "Appare! Sengoku Grand Adventure" athletic course is themed on the films "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Storm-Summoning Appare! Great Sengoku Battle" and "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden." The renewal reworks the course around multiple films from across the "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie" series.

The current 8-meter wooden athletic structure will be scaled up into an 11-meter steel-frame course. Alongside it, a new original shop themed on "サトーココノカドー," the department store featured in Crayon Shin-chan, will also open, turning the whole area into a space where visitors can enjoy the world of the series.
