About the Two Titles
MUSHIKING: The King of Beetles

Released by Sega in 2003, MUSHIKING: The King of Beetles is a trading card arcade game in which players use cards depicting real-life beetles to battle each other in a simple rock-paper-scissors format. Its accessible yet surprisingly deep gameplay made it an enormous hit, especially among elementary school students at the time.
The franchise went on to become an anime and film series, turning into a genuine cultural phenomenon.
Love and Berry: Dress Up and Dance!

Released by Sega in 2004, Love and Berry: Dress Up and Dance! is a trading card arcade game aimed at girls, in which players use fashion cards to dress up the characters Love and Berry before taking on dance battles. Often described as "the girls' version of MUSHIKING," it became a huge hit and left a lasting mark on girls' culture at the time.
Blending fashion, music, and dance, it remains one of the defining titles of its era.
