Following maintenance on August 13, 2026 (Thursday), the MMORPG Elemental Knights R has launched a large-scale event, the "18th Anniversary Soukai Festival," to mark 18 years since the game's service began. The event gives early access to two new areas that can be freely explored underwater — Fendora Sea and the Melmaha Shrine — along with a new quest centered on a mysterious man named Riberto. These areas are normally unlocked later in the story, but as a special 18th-anniversary measure, even players who have just finished the tutorial can enter. A "Comeback Campaign" for players who haven't logged in for 30 days or more, plus a login bonus offering an exclusive 18th-anniversary fashion item just for logging in, are also running — making it easy to jump back in the moment you return.

A thank-you campaign marking the 18th anniversary of the game's launch. Centered on early access to the new map and quest, it runs ten campaigns at once, including a memorial boss battle area, memorial boxes, limited-time crafting, a memorial gacha, login bonuses, and a character popularity vote.
New Areas: Fendora Sea and the Melmaha Shrine
Players get early access to the new map Fendora Sea, a freely explorable underwater area, and the Melmaha Shrine that lies beyond it. The new quest unfolds a fresh storyline involving the mysterious man Riberto.
These areas are normally reached only after progressing a certain distance through the game, but during the 18th anniversary event period they are opened early — any player who has finished the tutorial and reached Elrond Castle Town can enter. As a further 18th-anniversary touch, exclusive fashion equipment can be obtained from drops and quests in the new areas.
How to play:
- During the event period, travel from Elrond Castle Town to the event-only Karuhari Coast via the Event Teleport Stone or the Limited-Time Event button on screen
- Progressing Merida's quest at Karuhari Coast reveals an Event Teleport Stone that leads to Fendora Sea
- Continuing the quest further leads to the Melmaha Shrine
- Fendora Sea is split into venues for Lv10–27 and Lv28–30, so players can play in a venue suited to their level
Time-Limited Boss
A boss monster appears at set times each day during the event period. Adventurers who happen to be in the area can team up to take it down together.
Three Ways to Jump Back in After a Long Break
The 18th anniversary event is designed so that adventurers who have been away for a while can return straight to the main story.
1. The latest area is playable without leveling up first
Since the featured new map Fendora Sea is opened early for the event, it can be entered right after finishing the tutorial. A venue for Lv10–27 is also available, so even a long-overdue return can start from the latest content.
2. Logging in is enough to gather gear and training items
The 18th anniversary login bonus hands out training items such as EXP boosts, skill EXP, and movement speed boosts, plus an exclusive 18th-anniversary fashion item, the [18th Anniversary] 蒼海の絢爛豪華槍 ★10.
3. Players who haven't logged in for 30+ days get three Premium Gacha Tickets
Players who qualify for the Comeback Campaign receive three Premium Gacha Tickets simply by logging in.

Players at max level 6 or higher who haven't logged in for 30 days or more receive three Premium Gacha Tickets when they log in during the campaign period.

Three types of memorial boxes appear near the fountain in Elrond Castle Town. Bringing 10 [18th Anniversary] Box Tickets to a box exchanges them for a random matching item. Tickets can be earned from clearing the Soukai Colosseum or from clearing the limited-time daily mission "Defeat 30 Monsters," which also awards 10 tickets.
- 18th Anniversary Fashion Box: centered on event fashion from 2023–2024, with a chance at ★10 items on the biggest hits
- Nostalgic Fashion Box: a revival of the fashion box from the 12th anniversary event, for players who remember it from back then
- 18th Anniversary Back Equipment Box: a random piece of newly added [R] / [SR+] / [E] back equipment; [E] equipment can roll a resistance-boosting potential
18th Anniversary Boss Battle Area: Soukai Colosseum

Handing [18th Anniversary] Memorial Coins — obtainable at a rate of two per day at login, plus a chance from monsters in Fendora Sea — to the Elenai Gentleman in Elrond Castle Town grants the [18th Anniversary] Soukai Colosseum Wings. Using this item transports the player to the Soukai Colosseum, a battle area where parties can take on bosses together.
- Three difficulty levels are available: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, with higher difficulties offering greater rewards
- Destroying the Sealing Stone at the end of the passage spawns a boss, which is chosen at random for each attempt
- Defeating a boss awards [18th Anniversary] Box Tickets
- A top difficulty, Extreme, is planned to be added after maintenance on August 20, 2026 (Thursday)
Note: Level 10 or higher is required to accept the Soukai Colosseum quest.
