emmi, a womenswear brand offering daily wear as well as wellness & training wear, is releasing two special-order items made with TAION, a Japanese inner down brand. The pieces go on sale at emmi directly managed stores nationwide on October 14 (Wednesday), and advance orders are currently being accepted at the emmi official online store and USAGI ONLINE.
About the Collaboration
emmi offers basic yet refined adult daily wear built around a "Clear Mode" concept, along with relaxed wellness & training wear that reflects fashion trends. TAION, on the other hand, focuses on pursuing good value for the price, offering down wear that emphasizes high functionality, warmth, and comfort, with a lineup full of functional items.
For this collaboration, two styles, a quilted coat and a quilted skirt, are developed around sky blue, emmi's special-order color, as the key color.
The coat and skirt use 800 fill power down, which is lighter than standard down and holds plenty of warm air, and can be washed by hand at home.

About TAION
TAION is an inner down wear brand that started in Japan in October 2016. The brand name means latent warmth and comes from the word for body temperature (体温, taion), which builds on its image as a Japan-born brand. Under the slogan of pursuing value through strong cost performance relative to quality, it offers a wide range of high-quality, high-performance inner down. Superior down and materials give the items highly convenient specs. The outer fabric is nylon with a super water-repellent, high-density finish on taffeta of 400T or more, so it is not only water repellent but also resists stains. The reverse side of the outer fabric has an AC coating, and the down stitching uses a special thread called 高士糸, a combination designed to keep down from poking through to a minimum. The down itself is light, resilient 650 fill power or higher.
