An Emperor penguin chick born at Adventure World on September 30, 2025, celebrated its 100th day of life on January 8, 2026. To mark this milestone, the park held a special event featuring commemorative photos, staff talks about the chick's growth, and its first outdoor walk.

The chick showed curiosity toward the "100" ice sculpture placed in its nursery area.

The chick posed perfectly for the commemorative photos.

The chick's fluffy down feathers are shedding from its belly first, creating an appearance similar to wearing a stylish cardigan.

Growth Progress Talk Event
Keepers held a talk event reflecting on the chick's growth journey. As of the morning of January 8, the Emperor penguin chick weighs 14.8 kg, growing approximately 50 times its birth weight of 295.9 g. The keepers shared their joy about the chick's development with visitors.

First Outdoor Walk
With visitors watching, the chick took its first walk in the outdoor exercise area.

The chick successfully completed its first outdoor walk, flapping its wings while walking confidently.

Touch Experience
Visitors had the opportunity to touch the chick's eggshell and down feathers.

"Touch, learn, and watch over" the chick as it continues to grow.
