On March 20 (Friday, national holiday) and 21 (Saturday), a "Traveling Zoo" event will be held at kiond, the wood-and-forest experience facility located inside VISON in Mie Prefecture.
The event is organized in collaboration with Gokatsura Ike Animal Park, a zoo in Taki-cho, Mie Prefecture known for its commitment to the "One Health" concept. For two days, animals from the park will gather on the lawn area in front of kiond for a range of up-close experiences. Zoo keepers and the park director will also be on hand to share behind-the-scenes stories and insights into the animals' daily lives.

Event Highlights
① Animal Snack Feeding
Visitors can hand-feed the animals directly, learning about the relationship between humans and animals along the way. It's a chance to feel the warmth of the animals up close—a memorable experience for participants of all ages.
② Animal Magnet Making
Create a one-of-a-kind sheep or alpaca magnet using materials that include real wool collected during the animals' grooming sessions. The result is a fluffy, handmade keepsake that lets visitors take a little piece of the experience home.
③ Campfire Marshmallow Roasting
Surrounded by beautiful forest, participants can load up the fire themselves and roast marshmallows over the crackling flames. It's a hands-on outdoor experience that brings visitors closer to nature.
