Mobile RPG Epic Seven Kicks Off Collaboration With Chaos Zero Nightmare, Adding New Heroes and Roguelike Content

Mobile RPG Epic Seven, serviced by Smilegate Megaport and developed by SUPER CREATIVE, has begun a collaboration with Chaos Zero Nightmare, a popular IP of Smilegate Megaport's own — the companies announced the crossover on Friday, September 18.

Chaos Zero Nightmare is a dark fantasy roguelike RPG serviced by Smilegate. The game has won strong popularity among users for its striking presentation depicting characters' mental breakdowns and traumas, combined with its original card-based roguelike battle system.

During the collaboration period, running from Thursday, September 17 to 11:59 AM on Thursday, October 29, a special side story will be released, and Chaos Zero Nightmare's main combatants will appear as heroes in Epic Seven. A range of commemorative events will also be held alongside it.

The limited side story "Star's Journey: The Road Home" (星の旅路：家への道) depicts an adventure in which Renoa (レノア), Haru (ハル), and Mei Lin (メイリン) from the world of Chaos Zero Nightmare suddenly find themselves lost in Epic Seven's world of Orbis (オルビス), and set out to find their way home with the help of Vivian (ヴィヴィアン), the leader of the massive city of Witchaven (ウィッチヘイヴン).

In the first week, Haru and Renoa will appear as heroes in Epic Seven. The limited hero Haru is a 5-star Ice-attribute Warrior who grants allies a shield and 不屈 (an effect that boosts survivability) to help them endure, while unleashing a powerful attack that pierces a single enemy's defense. Renoa is a 5-star Dark-attribute Archer whose unique 鎮魂の弾丸 (an effect she applies to herself) increases her Speed and Critical Hit Damage, dealing stronger damage the more stacks she has. Renoa can also be obtained through a special login event.

Various events are also being held to celebrate the collaboration. The login event will distribute various growth materials, including the collaboration hero Renoa. In addition, a new Daily Epione Center (デイリーエピオネセンター) feature recreating Chaos Zero Nightmare's Epione Center (エピオネセンター) system will be added, letting players enjoy the collaboration heroes' individual stories through the event while also earning rewards such as unique equipment.

Epic Seven has also officially launched its first roguelike content, Dimensional Exploration (次元探索). In this mode, players explore a map using up to seven heroes and take on bosses across three tiers of floors, with choices at forks in the path, the use of relics, and hero formations all shaping a variety of possible outcomes based on the player's decisions. Season 1 is themed around the Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration, with future seasons planned around a variety of other themes.
