Fortnitemares 2026 is underway in Fortnite from October. New Overrides and weapons arrive, and the corruption spreads to Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload as cursed characters gather.
Throughout the month, new characters will keep appearing from Five Nights at Freddy's, Hazbin Hotel, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, and オブセッション 災愛.
Overrides:
Players can activate the cursed cartridge Overrides to turn invisible while dashing, deal more damage when health is low, or disguise their squad as Halloween props.
New weapon:
The new Bone Rattler Submachine Gun reveals enemy positions through walls. Also look out for "Freaky Fields" and the new spot "Nightmare Neighborhood," where Freddy Krueger awaits.
Horde Rush and Reload:
The limited-time Horde Rush mode returns. On October 8 (US time), a revamped Nightmare Island arrives in Reload, along with the "Stranger Things" and "イカグラウンド" maps.
Battle-worn Five Nights at Freddy's costumes are also available in the shop now.
Throughout October, costumes and accessories themed on A Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Clover, Hollow Knight, 99 Nights in the Forest, Hazbin Hotel, The Purge, オブセッション 災愛, Slender Man, Beetlejuice, and Predator: Badlands will arrive one after another, along with items inspired by Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.
