A new ice cream sandwich made with Country Ma'am cookies is arriving at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide. The "Fujiya Country Ma'am Ice Sandwich" (不二家 カントリーマアムアイスサンド) goes on sale in phases from Tuesday, October 27, and is exclusive to Seven-Eleven.
The moist texture is one of the defining features of Fujiya's long-selling Country Ma'am cookies. To let people enjoy that texture in a cold ice cream as well, the dough recipe was reworked from scratch. Cookie dough tends to harden when frozen, but this version has been improved to keep its texture even when frozen.
The vanilla ice cream in the middle also has crushed Country Ma'am mixed in, so a moist texture and rich flavor carry through from the first bite to the last. It is a treat suited to cafe time at home or relaxing at the end of the day.
