HoYoverse released the version Luna VI update for the open-world RPG Genshin Impact on April 8, 2026. The update, titled "Ode of the Crescent Moon: Rondo of Reunion," introduces new 5-star character Linnea (Geo), opens northern Mondstadt areas including the trading port Dawnmanport, and brings new quests and events.
New 5-Star Linnea (Geo) and Limited 5-Star Chasca (Anemo) Featured in Event Wishes
Starting after the April 8 (Wednesday) update, two new event character wishes are live: "Yaffoo Field Guide" and "Crimson Arrow Feather."

Linnea is a Geo support character capable of reducing Geo resistance, healing the entire team, and dealing continuous damage even when off-field. She can also convert Crystallize reactions into Mooncrystallize reactions.
◆ Elemental Skill: "Lumi's Yaffoo Operation"
Pressing the Elemental Skill once summons the companion "Lumi," who continuously attacks enemies and deals Geo AoE damage. When Mooncrystals are present nearby, Lumi alternates between normal Geo damage and Geo damage counted as Mooncrystallize reaction damage.
Rapidly pressing the Elemental Skill feeds Lumi; when full, Lumi immediately unleashes a powerful strike counted as Mooncrystallize reaction damage.
◆ Elemental Burst: "Desperate Survival Field Notes"
"Lumi" charges in to hold back enemies and restores HP for all party members, then continuously regenerates the on-field character's HP over time.
If Lumi is already deployed, this burst resets its duration instead of re-summoning it, allowing extended co-op operations.

◆ Elemental Skill: "Spirit Reins"
While traveling: Mounts the "Spirit Revolver Lightwand" to maintain a hovering state, increasing movement speed and interruption resistance.
In combat: Deals Nightsoul-aligned Anemo AoE damage to nearby enemies, mounts the Spirit Revolver Lightwand, and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. While in this state, pressing the Normal Attack button once fires Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage at a target. Holding the Normal Attack button enters Aiming Mode, loading up to 6 "Shadow Chaser Rounds" in sequence. When all 6 are loaded or charging stops, the rounds fire at enemies in order.
Some Shadow Chaser Rounds may randomly transform into "Shadow Chaser Rounds: Radiance" corresponding to the element types of party members.
◆ Elemental Burst: "Soul Reaper's Onslaught"
Fires a "Soul Reaper Bullet: Wind Blade," dealing Nightsoul-aligned Anemo AoE damage. The bullet then splits into 6 "Soul Reaper Bullets" that attack nearby enemies. Depending on the element types of other party members, the bullets trigger elemental reactions and deal Nightsoul-aligned damage of the corresponding element.

Starting after the April 8 (Wednesday) update, the weapon event wish "Epitome Invocation" is now available. The new ★5 bow "Frostpact Golden Branch" and the limited ★5 bow "Star Eagle's Crimson Feather" are featured at increased rates.

Linnea's Story Quest Now Unlocked
Starting after the April 8 (Wednesday) update, Linnea's Story Quest "Chapter of the Foresighted Bird" can be unlocked. Clearing the quest during the reward period yields Primogems, Character Ascension Materials, Character EXP Materials, and Mondstadt regional specialties.

- Complete Archon Quest: Ode of the Crescent Moon, Act IV "Longing for the Vanished Moonlight"
Playing through the World Quest "Journey of the Dragon's Chosen" before starting is recommended for a richer story experience.
During the reward period, players with Adventure Rank 28 or above who have completed Archon Quest Chapter I, Act III "Uninvited Guests" can use the Quick Start feature for Linnea's Story Quest.
