Dark Fantasy Hack-and-Slash Gravemark Launches on Google Play, Playable Vertically with One Hand

Gravemark, a dark fantasy hack-and-slash game played holding the phone vertically with one hand, has launched on Google Play. It became available on October 15, 2026 in Japan and on October 19, 2026 worldwide. The game is built around a single split-second call: go down one more floor, or turn back here.

Nothing Is Yours Until You Bring It Home

In Gravemark, the deeper you dive, the better the items that drop. However, anything you pick up does not belong to you until you carry it back to town.

If you die, you lose the contents of your bag, the gold collected during that run, and any gear you equipped during the run. Gear you equipped in town before heading out, along with the contents of your storage, stays with you.

Combat Is Automatic, the Decisions Are Yours

Attacks proceed automatically, and the only things the player touches are skills and potions. Whether to drink a potion, whether to dive another floor, and what to pack into the bag to take home are all up to the player.

Each floor offers two paths, which lead to an enemy, a spring, or, on rare occasions, a grave marker. The path card shows how much damage a single hit from that enemy would deal, so players choose a path based on their remaining HP.

What to Pack in the Bag, and What Turns Up in Town

Time stops each time an enemy is defeated. Players then decide what to pack into a grid-based bag to take back with them.

Items brought home stay unidentified until they are appraised in town. Above even Legendary items are the Relics, 15 one-of-a-kind pieces that each have their own name and artwork. Every one of them comes with a price to pay.

Game Features

  • Playable vertically with one hand. Combat runs automatically, and the only controls are skills and potions
  • Items you pick up do not belong to you until you bring them back to town. If you die, you lose them along with the bag
  • Two paths on every floor. Check how much damage one hit from the enemy would deal, then choose according to your remaining HP
  • You decide what goes into the grid-based bag. Items you bring back stay unidentified until they are appraised
  • Four divers (Knight, Reaver, Sentinel, and Mage), each with their own skill tree and an "Engraving" (刻印) system that trades away something in exchange for power
  • Four depths, plus the "Infinite Abyss" (無限の深淵), where the floors never end. A seasonal ranking compares the deepest floor each player reached and returned from alive
  • Power is not for sale. Equipment, Relics, and Engravings cannot be obtained through in-app purchases, and there are no paid stones. The only items sold are certain characters, comfort options such as a larger bag and storage and faster combat speed, and an ad-skip pass
