The Art Gallery at Hanshin Umeda Main Store is holding the "Charles Fazzino 3D Art Exhibition" from Wednesday, October 7 to Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The gallery on the 8th floor presents paintings, objects, and art goods that are easy to enjoy, and this exhibition features works by Charles Fazzino, a pop artist based in New York. His playful pieces are designed to excite visitors of all ages.
About the Exhibition
Fazzino's signature "3D art" starts with an original drawing, which is reproduced using printmaking techniques. The cut-out pieces are then stacked with silicone adhesive to create a playful, layered work.
The exhibition includes works themed on cities around the world, especially New York, as well as many tie-up pieces featuring cartoon characters and Major League Baseball. The popular "Dentist" series, which depicts dentists, is also on display.
What Is "3D Layering"?
"3D layering" is a technique unique to Charles Fazzino. Multiple prints are cut into separate parts and stacked by hand using silicone. Glitter and Swarovski crystals are added as finishing touches. The depth and shadows that flat artworks cannot offer give each piece a rich sense of presence.
