Master Ceramics Exhibition at Hanshin Umeda Main Store Showcases 39 Living National Treasures and 9 Order of Culture Recipients

Hanshin Umeda Main Store's Art Gallery is hosting the 3rd Modern Master Ceramics Exhibition, displaying works by Japan's most revered ceramic artists. The event runs from January 21 (Wednesday) to January 27 (Tuesday), 2026, with the final day closing at 5:00 PM.

About the Exhibition

Since the establishment of the Living National Treasure (Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder) designation system in 1955, 39 artists have been recognized in the ceramics field, with 9 receiving the Order of Culture. This exhibition brings together approximately 50 works from these master ceramic artists who have shaped modern Japanese ceramics.
