As the Hello Kitty Shinkansen approaches its final run on May 17, 2026, a special one-night farewell event called "Dreamy Night" is scheduled at Shin-Shimonoseki Station on March 28, 2026. The event will transform the train's interior into a sparkling nighttime venue, with each car offering a different themed experience for guests.
Shin-Shimonoseki Station serves as the setting as Yamaguchi Prefecture gears up for a Destination Campaign this autumn.

Dreamy Marche (Car 1)
A special edition of "Hello! Plaza," the Hello Kitty Shinkansen goods shop, will be set up in Car 1. Visitors can browse exclusive merchandise, discover products showcasing Yamaguchi Prefecture's local attractions, and pick up regional souvenirs — items you can only find here.
Dreamy Chance (Car 2)
A special lottery event hosted by Hello Kitty will take place in Car 2. Guests can interact with Hello Kitty through games for a chance to win prizes in a fun and lively atmosphere.
Dreamy VIP EXPERIENCE (Car 2)
Limited to just 3 groups, this exclusive VIP program offers an up-close, premium experience personally hosted by DJ Hello Kitty.
Hello Kitty × FM802 "Dreamy Talk" (Car 6)
Hello Kitty and FM802 DJ Risa Takaki co-host a special talk show with a guest who is a known Hello Kitty fan. That guest is SCANDAL — a rock band certified by Guinness World Records as the longest-active rock band with the same female members — currently celebrating their 20th anniversary. Member MAMI, a passionate Hello Kitty fan, will be part of the conversation for an exclusive discussion.
DJ Hello Kitty "Happy Beat" (Car 8)
DJ Hello Kitty will perform a live DJ set, wrapping the train in dance music for a one-of-a-kind nighttime experience.
