The Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort will present the "SAKURA and Strawberry Afternoon Tea" at the lobby lounge "Mahru" from February 3 (Tuesday) to May 8 (Friday), 2026. This limited spring event celebrates the arrival of the season with an elegant selection of sweets and savory items featuring fresh strawberries and delicate cherry blossom flavors, available only on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday) with a limit of 10 guests per day.

The "SAKURA and Strawberry Afternoon Tea" combines the juicy freshness of seasonal strawberries with the subtle fragrance of cherry blossoms, offering a lineup designed to capture the light and breezy essence of spring. The menu includes eight types of sweets, such as the classic "Traditional Strawberry Shortcake" and the spring-inspired "Sakura and Amazake Panna Cotta," which unfolds the airy aroma of cherry blossoms. The savory selection features four items, including a "Sakura Burger" infused with cherry blossom fragrance and a colorful "Duck and Seasonal Salad with Sakura Aroma." The carefully balanced combination of sweet and savory flavors ensures a delightful experience from start to finish.

Pricing is ¥3,900 per person (including coffee or tea), available exclusively from Tuesday to Friday. This season introduces a new "Mocktail Set" (¥4,500 per person) featuring elegant non-alcoholic cocktails, expanding the offering to a wider range of guests. For those seeking a more luxurious experience, a plan with a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne is available for ¥6,000 per person.

Pastry Chef Takehiro Kobayashi

After graduating from a confectionery vocational school, Chef Kobayashi honed his skills at renowned pastry shops in Kobe and Osaka, pursuing a style that blends traditional techniques with modern trends. Following award recognition at confectionery competitions, he relocated to Okinawa and worked at multiple hotels across the prefecture before joining Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort and DoubleTree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort as Pastry Chef in 2023. His creations, characterized by beautiful designs and delicate sweetness, captivate many guests. Currently overseeing all sweets at both hotels, he continues to deliver new flavors and delightful surprises through innovative and creative approaches.
