A new apartment hotel, Hotel EN-YO, opened on May 18, 2026 in Kanda-Sakuma-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo — a neighborhood close to the globally known Akihabara district while also retaining the character of traditional streets and local dining.
From Office Building to Hotel

Hotel EN-YO is the result of a building conversion project — the property was originally constructed as a new office building and has since been repurposed as a hotel, marking the first hotel conversion initiative of its kind for the property owner. Rather than simply changing the building's designated use, the project team prioritized redesigning the entire guest experience, transforming what had been a uniformly functional office environment into a space with warmth and a sense of arrival appropriate for a hotel stay.
About the Name "Hotel EN-YO"
The name "EN-YO" is drawn from two Japanese words: 縁 (EN), meaning connections or bonds formed between people, and 容 (YO), representing a vessel that receives and holds. The hotel is designed to serve as a waypoint in travel — a place for guests to restore themselves before moving on to their next destination, while the relationships formed along the journey are embraced.
Hotel EN-YO is well-suited for visiting families and groups, as well as travelers making multi-city itineraries who need a comfortable and reliable base in central Tokyo.
Akihabara's Energy Meets Kanda's Calm
The hotel's location in Kanda-Sakuma-cho, Chiyoda-ku places it within walking distance of Akihabara — globally recognized for its pop culture and electronics scenes — while the surrounding neighborhood retains a traditional feel, with longstanding local restaurants and a quieter everyday atmosphere. The property aims to serve both as a sightseeing base and a restful retreat.
Spacious Rooms Designed for Group Stays

Interiors follow a mid-century modern aesthetic, offering functionality and an open feel suited to groups. Warm wood tones form the base, with accent colors and a considered lighting plan adding rhythm to the space — balancing comfort with a measured sense of excitement.
As part of the conversion, the hotel also refreshed the exterior cladding, introduced dry garden-style landscaping, and replaced the original automatic entrance doors with decorative metal doors, creating a distinct arrival experience from the moment guests approach.
Each room measures approximately 60 m² and can accommodate up to 6 guests.
