About Saitama Prefecture's Original Strawberry Variety Amarin
A strawberry variety characterized by intense sweetness upon first bite and subtle acidity.
The fruit's beautiful color and luster create an appealing, vivid red appearance.
An original Saitama Prefecture variety developed over approximately 10 years at the prefecture's research facilities.
At the 1st National Strawberry Championship, Amarin from prefecture producers received the Grand Gold Award, with numerous other awards, and Saitama Prefecture was certified as the nation's first "Premium Strawberry Prefecture" as the prefecture producing the most delicious strawberries.
In subsequent 2nd and 3rd National Strawberry Championships, Saitama received the Grand Gold Award and numerous other awards, earning certification as the nation's only "Premium Strawberry Prefecture" for three consecutive years.
