Hotel Oriental Express Kagoshima Tenmonkan, located in the Tenmonkan area of Kagoshima City, is launching a "Dessert BAR" at SOLID BAR on the 13th floor starting Friday, May 1, 2026. The new concept brings hotel-made sweets to the bar setting, offering guests a relaxed way to enjoy desserts in the evening — whether stopping in after work or unwinding during a stay.

In recent years, there has been growing demand for nighttime outings that don't center on alcohol, with more people looking for a calm space to spend the evening at their own pace. While the Tenmonkan area draws both tourists and business travelers, options for enjoying high-quality sweets in a relaxed setting late at night have been limited. The "Dessert BAR" introduces a new evening experience — from a light sweet after dinner to a quiet self-reward moment.

Live-Finished Desserts Made Right at the Table

The signature item is the "Freshly Squeezed Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc," prepared tableside to order. Guests can enjoy the full experience, from watching the chestnut cream being freshly piped to savoring the delicate layered form and the aroma of fresh chestnut.

Regional Flavors with a Sophisticated Twist

The "Chiran Tea Tiramisu" features Chiran tea grown in Kagoshima Prefecture, balancing gentle bitterness and mild sweetness for a clean, refreshing finish.

The "Espresso Tiramisu" is crafted to highlight the rich flavor and aroma of coffee.
