W Osaka Opens Seasonal "Summer Frozen Escape" with Pool Access and Yamazaki Whisky Kakigori

From June 21 to September 30, 2026, W Osaka (Minami-Senba, Chuo-ku, Osaka) is hosting a summer seasonal promotion called "Summer Frozen Escape" at its 4th-floor "WET" indoor pool and "WET DECK" open-air terrace. Three special packages combine pool access, kakigori (shaved ice), and dining options, available from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily.

Yamazaki Whisky Kakigori and Seasonal Flavors

The standout item of the promotion is a kakigori made with Suntory's Yamazaki 12-Year single malt whisky. With its deep aroma and layered flavor, it offers a distinctly luxurious take on the summer classic. Two more flavors are also on the menu: white peach with coconut, and Kyoto Uji matcha with tropical fruit accents — each with its own combination of sweetness, freshness, and depth.

From the evening, dinner options join the lineup — including a 5-item appetizer platter, spicy fried chicken, and steak frites — spanning from a light poolside meal to a full dinner experience.

Packages and Pricing

All prices include tax and a 15% service charge. Advance reservations are required by 5:00 PM the previous day. Last orders are taken 30 minutes before the end of each session. Pool use is limited to guests aged 16 and over; swimwear must be provided by guests (no rentals available). The pool is not available to guests who have consumed alcohol or are not feeling well. In case of rain, cancellations are decided by 5:00 PM the day before.

45 minutes of WET (pool) access + choice of kakigori (white peach coconut or Kyoto Uji matcha). Yamazaki whisky kakigori available as an add-on for ¥2,000.

45 minutes of WET access + 5-item appetizer platter + spicy fried chicken + choice of 2 mini kakigori + 1 drink (champagne excluded).

45 minutes of WET access + 5-item appetizer platter + steak frites + choice of 2 mini kakigori + 1 drink (champagne excluded).

Ao Highball Free-Flow Plan — ¥10,000 per person / 90-minute session
60 minutes of unlimited Suntory Ao highballs + 5-item appetizer platter + spicy fried chicken. WET (pool) access is not included in this plan.

Pre-Opening Party: WEEKEND BLACKBOX SESSION

On June 20, 2026 (Saturday) from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, a one-night opening event takes place across the 4th-floor "WET," "WET BAR," and "WET DECK."

For this night only, a SUSHI BAR will appear poolside, hosted by guest chef SUSHI LION — a female sushi artisan from Ishikawa who brings a traveling-style Japanese dining experience to events worldwide. Alongside her nigiri, a pairing with Japanese whisky is planned, creating a unique one-off experience.

The music lineup features Swedish DJ and producer Christian Smith, a fixture in the global techno scene for over 30 years with appearances at Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Drumcode Festival, and Ultra Music Festival. Rising DJ/producer TENNAN, with releases on VIVa MUSiC, Repopulate Mars, and 20/20 Vision, joins as a special guest. W Osaka's Music & Entertainment Director YUUKI YOSHIYAMA and additional DJs round out the night.

The indoor pool "WET," normally reserved for hotel guests, will be specially open to all event attendees.

  • GENERAL: ¥3,000 per person (entry + 2 food & drink tickets + 60 min pool access)
  • VIP: ¥100,000 per table (up to 4 guests; entry + 1 bottle champagne + 10 food & drink tickets + 60 min pool access)
  • VVIP: ¥300,000 per table (up to 10 guests; entry + 1 magnum champagne + 20 food & drink tickets + 60 min pool access)

The event proceeds rain or shine; if weather conditions are poor, the venue may shift to the 3F "LIVING ROOM."
