Junkissa Hanshin vol. 6 (純喫茶ハンシン vol.6), an event that brings together celebrated coffee shops from across Japan, returns to Shokusai Terrace (食祭テラス) on the 1st floor of Hanshin Umeda Main Store from Wednesday, November 11 to Monday, November 16, 2026.
Osaka is said to have the most individually run coffee shops in Japan. Alongside Osaka coffee shops full of individuality, well-loved coffee shops from around the country take part, offering a chance to enjoy "junkissa" (classic coffee shop) culture, one of Osaka's proud food traditions.
In addition to menus the shop owners have developed with care, such as coffee, old-fashioned pudding, and cream soda, the event also offers retro original goods that bring the world of the junkissa into fashion and miscellaneous items.

A popular item adapted from the Vietnamese food culture of pudding topped with crushed ice. The rich, sticky pudding is baked with whole eggs and egg yolks blended in equal amounts. It is topped with coarsely shaved ice for a crunchy texture, and honey and the depth of caramel bring everything together.

The shop's signature curry is made generously with Japanese Black beef and spiced with extra-fine-ground original coffee. It is known for its mellow, deep richness and rich, toasty aroma.

The Arabiya Sand, filled with a ham omelet that is also loved in the kabuki world, comes in a Hanshin-exclusive size that uses more than 1.5 times the usual amount of brand-name eggs.

Super Presenter: Rina Namba (難波里奈)
Talk shows between the participating shop owners and Super Presenter Rina Namba will be held, along with workshops for making mascots from yarn, showcasing a Showa-retro sensibility, on an ongoing basis. A message board will also be set up where visitors can write about their love of junkissa or leave messages for the owners.
