Kawanishi Kaban (カワニシカバン), a Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture-based maker of leather and canvas bags (Kawanishi Kaban Product Co., Ltd.), is releasing the "Dual Key Case book" (Dual キーケース book［ブック］), the second item in its new "Dual" (デュアル) leather series.
The key case is designed to open like a book and shows off the natural fullness of the leather. It has a four-key hook fitting and two key chains, so several keys can be carried together in one case. It is priced at ¥22,900 (tax included) and goes on sale at the official online shop on October 10, 2026 (Saturday) at 12:00 PM (noon).

A Key Case That Folds Open Like a Book
The softly rounded form
The "book" is named for the way it looks like a single book, both when closed and when opened.
The design keeps decoration to a minimum while preserving the soft fullness of the leather. The maker tried both outside stitching and inside stitching and reworked the construction, giving the case a rounded outline with no sharp corners.
Though technically refined, the design stays simple and is intended to be easy to use regardless of age or gender.

Inside are a four-key hook fitting and two key chains, and the attachment positions can be chosen to suit the shape and purpose of each key.
The case closes with a snap button, and there is a zippered compartment on the side. In addition to keys, it can carry cards, coins and smart keys together.

A One-Piece Design That Shows Off the Leather
The material used in the Dual series
The body is made from double-face leather that has been chrome-tanned on both the front and back.
With no lining or core material, the case relies on the thickness and texture of the leather itself. Like all natural leather, it changes in character with use, from the first day onward.
The zipper on the back pocket is a YKK Excella. The brand logo is silver foil stamped, and the metal fittings are all silver.
