Acecook Releases New "Gotochi no Ippai" Instant Noodles — Kitakata Shoyu Ramen and Okinawa Shima Soba

Two new regional flavors are coming to Acecook's "Gotochi no Ippai" instant noodle series — a lineup built around bringing the distinct tastes of Japan's local cuisines to the convenience of home preparation. Kitakata Shoyu Ramen and Okinawa Shima Soba hit shelves nationwide on May 4, 2026 (Monday), with a suggested retail price of ¥171 (tax excluded) each.

About the "Gotochi no Ippai" Series

The "Gotochi no Ippai" (Your Local Bowl) series focuses on capturing well-known regional flavors from across Japan in instant noodle form. Each cup's packaging features local place names and sightseeing landmarks, evoking a sense of travel and regional character. The two new additions draw from Kitakata — home to one of Japan's three celebrated ramen styles — and Okinawa, one of the country's most popular domestic travel destinations.

Kitakata Shoyu Ramen

• Noodles: Smooth, firm wide flat noodles lightly seasoned to complement the soup. Rehydration time: 5 minutes.
• Soup: A light soy sauce broth made with a pork base, layered with the umami of niboshi (dried sardines) and bonito for a well-rounded, savory flavor.
• Toppings: Soy-processed protein, narutomaki fish cake, and green onions.
• Packaging: Incorporates the local place name and notable tourist spots, evoking regional nostalgia and a sense of travel.

Okinawa Shima Soba

• Noodles: Wide, supple noodles inspired by authentic Okinawan soba, with good soup absorption. Rehydration time: 5 minutes.
• Soup: A pork-based broth accented with seafood stock. A separately included "Koregusu-style seasoning" — a Ryukyuan chili condiment — can be added to heighten the authentic island soba experience.
• Toppings: Kamaboko fish cake, green onions, and pickled red ginger.
