An original art exhibition celebrating manga artist and character designer Kōsuke Fujishima's 40th anniversary as a debut creator is coming to Tokyo and Osaka. Presented by VISION8 Inc. under its EDITION88 art gallery brand, "-Debut 40th Anniversary- Kōsuke Fujishima Original Art Exhibition" marks 40 years since Fujishima's debut with numerous celebrated manga and character-design works.
The Tokyo venue runs September 18 (Fri) to October 4 (Sun), 2026, at Yurakucho Marui; the Osaka venue runs October 30 (Fri) to November 15 (Sun), 2026, at Namba Marui.
Centered on Oh My Goddess!, the exhibition brings together valuable original manuscripts and color illustrations spanning manga works from Fujishima's early career through his latest output, including You're Under Arrest!, Paradise Residence, STRIKER THE SHINING STAR, and Toppū GP. Color illustrations from his character-design work on the Sakura Wars series and the Tales of series are also on display.
Tracing Fujishima's path as a manga artist while highlighting his work as a character designer, the exhibition looks back on 40 years of creative output through roughly 100 pieces on display.
Photo spots featuring popular characters will be set up at the venue, and Fujishima himself will appear for an autograph session. A commemorative art book, prints called "88 Graph," and original merchandise will also be available for purchase.
