Kyoto Tsutaya Books, on the 5th and 6th floors of Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. [T8] in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, is holding the Christmas fair "WONDER IS EVERYWHERE" from Tuesday, November 3 (national holiday) through Friday, December 25, 2026.
The theme is "WONDER IS EVERYWHERE" (驚きは、いたるところに, roughly "surprises are everywhere"). Being moved by something picked up on a whim, or picturing someone's face from the look of an artwork: the fair links the small discoveries made while walking through the store to the fun of choosing a gift. Through original illustrations of winter scenes, expressive plush toys and goods that add color to everyday life, it presents the stories behind the works and the warmth of handwork.
The key visual features the work of illustrator Yosuke Omomo (大桃洋祐). In a related project, "A Present for You" (キミのためのプレゼント), original art and goods including new works are shown, depicting a winter world of a town and people waiting for Christmas.
