Kyukamura Hiruzen Kogen, a highland resort hotel located in Daisen-Oki National Park (Hiruzen Kamifukuda, Maniwa City, Okayama), is rolling out a new service for hotel guests starting April 1: a guided outing to cherry blossom spots in the surrounding area. Destinations include the Gaisen Sakura in Shinjo Village — a cherry blossom-lined street of a historic post town that is rare even in Japan — and the cherry blossom avenue leading to Kayabe Shrine.
Starting the same date, the evening buffet "Hiruzen Kogen Buffet" also transitions to a spring menu featuring local and seasonal ingredients.
Spring Cherry Blossom Outing: Guided Tour to Scenic Spots
This experience program takes hotel guests on a stroll with Kyukamura staff to two notable cherry blossom locations: the Gaisen Sakura, which adorns a preserved post-town streetscape, and the grand stone torii gate pathway leading to Kayabe Shrine.

The spring dinner buffet at Hiruzen Kogen features two highlights: charcoal-grilled "Mosa Shrimp," a prized San'in regional delicacy, and all-you-can-eat mountain vegetable tempura. The buffet also includes a selection of local dishes and ingredients unique to the region.
