LEGO Ideas Godzilla Set With 5,363 Pieces and a Height of Over 70 cm Goes on Sale November 27

LEGO® Ideas Godzilla, a set that recreates Godzilla from Legendary Pictures' Monsterverse monster films in LEGO® bricks, goes on general sale on Friday, November 27, 2026. With 5,363 pieces and a height of more than 70 cm, it is the largest set in the LEGO Ideas series, and it is built as a tribute to Godzilla, the King of the Monsters.

A Godzilla Over 70 cm Tall, Built Piece by Piece

With the new film "Godzilla Minus Zero" (ゴジラ-0.0) now in theaters, Godzilla is drawing attention once again. Since its first appearance on the screen in 1954, Godzilla has continued for more than 70 years to embody the power of storytelling through films, television, comics, games and collectibles. LEGO Ideas Godzilla brings this legendary monster from film history back to life one piece at a time.

In the pose where Godzilla fires its heat ray, the model stands more than 70 cm tall, so large that a LEGO minifigure reaches only as high as Godzilla's ankle. The set recreates the textured, scale-like skin, the jagged dorsal fins and the large, sweeping tail. The head, arms, legs and tail are movable, and the shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers can also be adjusted, so the model can be displayed in dynamic poses.

By swapping the tongue piece for the included heat ray piece, builders can also recreate Godzilla's signature pose, roaring up at the sky.

From a Fan's Submission to an Official Set

The set is based on a creation that Matthew Esposito, a fan designer living in New York, submitted to LEGO Ideas. LEGO Ideas is a platform where fans submit their own LEGO brick creations and, with the help of LEGO Master Designers, get a chance to have their ideas turned into products (and to receive a portion of the revenue). After Esposito posted the model, it gathered 10,000 votes, the threshold for product review, and the LEGO Ideas Review Board selected it for production.

Comment from fan designer Matthew Esposito

Building Godzilla out of LEGO bricks was a project I poured my passion into. I have loved both building with LEGO bricks and Godzilla for many years, so I wanted to express the shape, scale and character of Godzilla as accurately as I could. The biggest challenge was building the head, but it was a wonderful experience to see the model take shape, and to gather the support of 10,000 supporters over more than two years. I sincerely thank the fans who supported this project and helped make this dream come true.
