Plott Inc., a creative company specializing in IP content planning, production, and business development, has announced the production of Mappy Chu!, an SNS short anime series based on Mappy, the popular video game that debuted in arcades in 1983 from Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The series will begin streaming on TikTok and YouTube starting February 22nd (Chu-Chu-Chu), known as "Rat Day." X (formerly Twitter) will provide the latest information and campaigns.
About Short Anime Series Mappy Chu!
Mappy Chu! is a short anime series featuring approximately 30-second episodes, adapted from the 1983 arcade game Mappy and distributed on TikTok and YouTube.
Set in the port town of Kannyai, a place described as "ultra-peaceful" yet plagued by various incidents big and small, the series follows Mappy, a mouse police officer who tackles cases with his overly strong sense of justice in slapstick comedy fashion.

① Weekly 30-Second Moments of Laughter for Modern People
Set in the "ultra-peaceful" port town of Kannyai where various incidents constantly occur, the story follows Mappy, a mouse police officer who struggles with his overly strong sense of justice.
This slapstick comedy features the chaotic world created by residents who stay true to themselves. The series delivers a 30-second moment of laughter each week to modern people living in the troubled Reiwa era.
② Cute Character Designs - Unreliable and Somewhat Pitiful
Characters from the original Mappy video game gather in adorable forms. The dot art has transformed into pop illustrations! Look forward to the adventures of Mappy in his unreliable and somewhat pitiful appearance!
Mappy: The world's weakest mouse police officer. Every incident, no matter how small, is a major case to him!
Nyarumko: A timid thief cat with nine children. Dislikes Mappy.
Mewkichi: The eldest son. A mischievous leader of the pack.
Mewta: The second son. An energetic kid who loves tinkering with machines.
Mew-Mew: The youngest daughter. The idol of the Nyarumko family.
