WEMADE Co., Ltd. (CEO Park, Kwan Ho) has announced that its global open-world MMORPG MIR4 kicked off a celebration for the 5th anniversary of its global service through the August 18 update.
At the core of the update are the official release of the new Spirit Summoner class and the opening of Boosting World 4, a growth-support server whose season now runs a month longer than before. A server merge and a set of 5th anniversary events were applied at the same time, with the anniversary celebration running from the August 18 update through September 14, roughly four weeks in total.
New Class: Spirit Summoner Goes Live
Spirit Summoner, previously revealed through pre-registration, was officially released on August 18. The class summons spirits of every element to fight alongside the player as a "Dealer-type Buffer," raising allies' combat power while weakening enemies at the same time, and it opens up new strategic options in both PvE and PvP.
Spirit Summoner can be trained from day one not only on existing servers but also on the newly opened Boosting World 4 server. With a maximum bonus of up to +1,000% EXP, Boosting World 4 is expected to be an ideal entry point both for players who want to build the new class from scratch and for those just starting the game.
Boosting World 4: A Longer, More Generous Season
Alongside the new class, MIR4 has also opened new Boosting World 4 servers by region for new and returning players. Boosting World servers concentrate the resources needed for growth, letting players reach combat power on par with the main servers in a short period.
The biggest change in this fourth season is its length: it has been extended from around four months to five, giving players roughly a month of additional growth time. Support volume has increased along with the longer season, so players can reach the same target combat power with more room to spare.
The growth-support format has also been designed with players in mind. In the early and middle stages, completed gear is granted outright once level milestones are reached, reducing the burden of crafting equipment. In later stages, materials are provided in stages so players can craft higher-tier gear themselves. The system is built so that players can assemble higher-tier gear within the season even without additional spending, and ranking rewards are prepared at season's end for top-level players and the highest-ranked factions.
Server Merge for a More Active Competitive Scene
MIR4 also carried out a server merge on the same day. The merge is meant to raise user density per server so that the game's core competitive content — rivalry over hunting grounds, faction clashes, and large-scale siege battles — can be enjoyed more actively. After the merge, WEMADE plans to offer all players the 鏢局通行券 for purchase with Copper, letting them move freely to whichever server they prefer.
5th Anniversary Shop and Events
A dedicated 5th Anniversary shop and a set of celebratory events are running alongside the update. Players can collect 5th Anniversary Gratitude Coins by hunting and freely exchange them for growth rewards of their choice at the dedicated exchange shop.
In addition, a 5th anniversary check-in event grants login rewards, the Summon + Summon event provides bonus rewards based on the number of summons made, and Osher's Miraculous Fortune significantly cuts enhancement costs, among other events rolled out in sequence. The 5th anniversary web event page also runs a participatory event spanning five weeks.
A WEMADE representative said the update "focused on creating an environment where new players can comfortably catch up, through the new Spirit Summoner class and a Boosting World season extended by a month," adding that "together with the competitive landscape reorganized by the server merge, we will keep making sure MIR4 remains a game where users clash and compete with each other into its sixth year."
