Korean cosmetics brand MISSHA released the MISSHA M PRO BLACK MESH CUSHION [Semi-Matte], a new mesh-type foundation, on Monday, July 27, 2026, to mark the 20th anniversary of the brand's launch in Japan. Stock ran short soon after release, and the product has drawn a warm response.
About two and a half months after launch, with sales continuing to exceed expectations, a survey was conducted among 302 actual buyers (those who purchased between July 30 and August 16). The results show how highly the product is rated by the people who bought it.
The product is a weightless, natural-skin-look foundation.

In the survey on skin concerns, "enlarged pores" came out on top at 64.2%.
It was followed by "dullness" at 57.6%, "spots and freckles" at 52.3%, and "dryness" at 50.7%. Concerns about pores, dullness, and uneven tone, in other words about skin texture and evenness of color, are especially common.
"Darkened pores" also scored high at 42.4%, which suggests strong demand for an "even, smooth finish" that keeps pores from standing out.
When choosing a foundation, "durability (resistance to breaking down)" at 79.5% and "coverage" at 78.8% were the most important factors, showing strong demand for lasting wear and coverage.
These were followed by "no heavy, cakey feel" at 66.6% and "lightweight feel on the skin" at 55.3%. People want solid coverage together with a natural, light finish.
These results suggest that today's base makeup is expected to do more than simply cover. It should cover concerns such as pores and uneven tone, finish with a light, natural look, and stay beautiful over time.
Balancing "coverage" and "durability" with "no heavy, cakey feel" is the key to ideal base makeup.
97% Satisfied With the Finish: "It Naturally Covered Pores and Uneven Tone That Bothered Me"
The MISSHA M PRO BLACK MESH CUSHION [Semi-Matte] earned high marks for its overall finish and for how it handled each buyer's skin concerns.

Satisfaction with the overall finish reached 97.0%. Buyers also rated the product highly for the finish, coverage, and light feel, with "pores less noticeable" at 98.7%, "lightweight feel" at 94.0%, and "spots and freckles coverage" at 90.1%.
"Durability" scored 87.4%, slightly lower than the other items, but about 90% of respondents still said they were satisfied.
In this survey, "enlarged pores" was the top skin concern at 64.2%. When choosing a foundation, "durability" at 79.5%, "coverage" at 78.8%, and "no heavy, cakey feel" at 66.6% ranked highest.
In other words, consumers appear to want a foundation that covers skin concerns well, finishes light and without a cakey feel, and stays looking good for a long time.
Against that, buyers of the MISSHA M PRO BLACK MESH CUSHION [Semi-Matte] gave satisfaction scores of 98.7% for "pores less noticeable," 97.0% for "overall finish," 94.0% for "lightweight feel," 90.1% for "spots and freckles coverage," and 87.4% for "durability."
In particular, 78.8% prioritized coverage and coverage satisfaction was 90.1%; 79.5% prioritized durability and satisfaction was 87.4%; and 55.3% prioritized a light feel and satisfaction was 94.0%. What people look for when choosing a foundation lines up with how they rate it after actually using it.
Also, while "enlarged pores" was the most common skin concern at 64.2%, satisfaction with "pores less noticeable" was 98.7%. A Foundation People Want to Use Again and Recommend
87.4% of respondents said they want to keep using it.
86.4% said they would recommend it to others.
