A voltage switch is built into the bottom of the kettle. It can be set to either AC100–120V or AC220–240V, so the kettle can be used with confidence not only in Japan but also overseas.

The kettle has a dial for adjusting the temperature, covering everything from low temperatures up to boiling. A keep-warm function automatically reheats the water when it cools to a certain temperature. If the kettle is ever left empty, a dry-boil prevention function automatically switches the power off to help prevent accidents.
