A symbol of "illustration × sculpture," now a 1/2 scale art piece
"Flower Imitation." depicts a fleeting moment in the lives of girls living in a devastated near future. "N/DOLL," from this original series by illustrator neco, is now joining the Concept Masterline.
This portrait of a girl was the key visual for neco's first solo exhibition, "N/DOLL," where the original sculpt by Curve Models was also displayed. Prime 1 Studio has given new life to this piece, which symbolizes the exhibition's theme of "illustration × sculpture."
The original sculpt data has been scaled up to 1/2 size, and the details of each part have been carefully refined to capture neco's artistic style in dense detail.
The eyelashes are richly sculpted, a pale purple seeps into the irises, and the whites of the eyes have a soft milky tone. The cool, melancholic gaze is expressed with careful attention to the delicate lines and quiet colors of the illustration.
The high-tone greige hair is also finished with carefully layered gradations and restrained light and shadow.
The costume is modeled on real-world techwear, with a focus on realistic textures.
The industrial capsule and the graceful flowers are also crafted down to the finest details, creating a contrast between the artificial and the natural.
The specially designed base was prepared exclusively for this piece.
It features a simple, linear square design that suits the world of the work. Careful consideration of where the base connects to the figure creates a display with a strong sense of floating.
The bonus edition also comes with an A3 cloth poster. Its beautiful print and impressive size let you enjoy the original illustration once again.
