The white sheets that protected the Nemophila plants from the cold winter weather during germination and root development are being removed, revealing the growing plants beneath. The Hill's Landscape Transforms from White to Green
The sheet removal covers approximately 4.2 hectares of Miharashi Hill, requiring about 70 people over approximately 10 working days. The frost protection sheets have high heat and moisture retention properties and also promote growth. Therefore, removal prioritizes areas where the plants have grown larger. The work progresses in stages while observing the Nemophila growth conditions to ensure the entire hill blooms beautifully in spring.
